I was so honored and excited to present two sessions at CCIRA (Colorado Council of the International Reading Association) this year! CCIRA is a massive, professional literacy conference for K-12 educators. My sessions were: “Genre Fiction – The Cure for I-Hate-to-Write-itis” and “Using the Narrative Toolbox to Power Up Academic Writing”. The energy of the conference is palpable and of course, I love being with teachers who love reading and writing as much as I do! My biggest fan moments at the conference were the lunch with Gerry Brooks and the keynote by Regie Routman.
